MRT CORSE ALZA L’ASTICELLA: NEL 2026 IN PISTA CON 4 PILOTI, E DUE MOTO NEL DUNLOP CIV SSP600 NG

Il 2026 sarà un anno di grande espansione per MRT Corse, che conferma la propria crescita schierando ben quattro piloti tra Dunlop CIV e Coppa Italia, con l’ambizioso obiettivo di consolidarsi tra i team di riferimento nel panorama nazionale.

La grande novità è l’arrivo in squadra di Julio Garcia, giovane pilota spagnolo di grande esperienza internazionale, reduce da diverse stagioni nella Supersport 300 World Championship. Per lui, il 2026 segnerà il debutto ufficiale nella classe Supersport 600 del CIV, una nuova sfida tecnica e sportiva che affronterà in sella alla Kawasaki preparata da MRT. L’ingresso di Garcia nel team è frutto della collaborazione con Prodina, struttura di riferimento nel paddock mondiale, con la quale il pilota ha condiviso la stagione appena conclusa.

A fargli compagnia nella stessa categoria sarà Mattia Paolucci, pilota riconfermato da MRT dopo l’ottimo percorso svolto insieme nel 2025. Per Mattia si tratta di un importante salto di qualità: dopo aver ben figurato nelle categorie di accesso, è pronto a confrontarsi con i migliori della SSP600 nazionale, confermando così la fiducia del team e il lavoro di crescita portato avanti insieme.

La line-up 2026 si completa con due giovani piloti nella Coppa Italia: Cristian Basso, che proseguirà il suo percorso con MRT nella Dunlop Cup 600 dopo una prima stagione in crescita e una collaborazione avviata con ottime basi, e Christian Antonini, che affronterà il campionato Trofeo Amatori 600 Rookie, sempre con il supporto tecnico e formativo del team, in un progetto pensato per far maturare nuovi talenti.

La struttura sarà al fianco di tutti e quattro i piloti durante l’intera stagione, portando avanti un lavoro sinergico tra pista, tecnica e formazione.

Un grazie speciale va a Kawasaki Italia, che anche per il 2026 ha scelto di rinnovare il proprio supporto a MRT Corse, confermando la bontà del percorso intrapreso.

MRT Corse – Il futuro si costruisce in pista.

Alessandro Antonini - Team manager: “Siamo ancora nel 2025, ma posso dire con soddisfazione che abbiamo già chiuso tutti i programmi per il 2026. Sarà un anno speciale per noi: festeggiamo il decimo anno dalla nascita del team e lo facciamo con una grande novità, ovvero l’ingresso della seconda moto nel CIV Supersport 600. Fino a poco tempo fa sembrava un obiettivo lontano, quasi irraggiungibile, ma quest’anno abbiamo deciso di raddoppiare gli sforzi e puntare su due progetti di crescita importanti. Abbiamo scelto due ragazzi giovani — insieme superano a malapena i 40 anni — per un progetto fresco, ambizioso e con tanta voglia di fare bene. L’obiettivo è chiaro: crescere, divertirsi e portare a casa bei risultati. Anche in Coppa Italia non saremo da meno: anche lì raddoppiamo le moto in paddock e porteremo avanti il progetto con Cristian e Christian. Vogliamo far bene anche in quella categoria, continuando a lavorare con serietà e passione. Tutto questo è possibile grazie alla collaborazione con Kawasaki, che continuerà a sostenerci sia nel CIV che in Coppa Italia. È un legame forte, costruito nel tempo, e speriamo di consolidarlo ulteriormente con qualche bel podio da mettere in bacheca. Ci vediamo in pista!”

Julio Garcia: "Sono davvero molto felice di aver chiuso l’accordo con il Team MR Corse e il Prodina Racing Team, insieme a Kawasaki. È un’opportunità che mi riempie di entusiasmo e non vedo l’ora di iniziare la preparazione invernale per arrivare alla prima gara nelle migliori condizioni possibili. Gli obiettivi sono chiari e condivisi con il team: lavorando insieme nel modo giusto, sono certo che arriveranno i risultati che entrambi ci aspettiamo. Per me sarà anche una nuova sfida con una moto diversa, quindi ci sarà da imparare tanto, ma darò il massimo per crescere e farci trovare pronti. Sono davvero motivato e carico per questa nuova avventura!"

Mattia Paolucci: "Sono davvero felice di iniziare questa nuova avventura con il team. So che sarà una sfida impegnativa, ma sono certo che, proprio come lo scorso anno, lavoreremo duramente per migliorare e crescere insieme. Non vedo l’ora di scendere in pista!" 

Cristian Basso: "Sono felice di entrare a far parte di questa grande famiglia per la stagione 2026! Lavoreremo con determinazione per essere tra i protagonisti e lottare per le posizioni che contano. Ci vediamo a Vallelunga per il primo round a maggio!”

Christian Antonini: “Sono davvero felice di proseguire con MRT anche per il 2026. Ogni anno imparo qualcosa di nuovo, sia da pilota che da tecnico, e quest’anno affronterò una categoria tutta nuova. So che sarà una sfida tosta, ma darò il massimo per crescere e farmi trovare pronto!"

La gran novedad es la llegada al equipo de Julio Garcia, joven piloto español con una sólida experiencia internacional, procedente de varias temporadas en el Campeonato del Mundo de Supersport 300. Para él, 2026 marcará su debut oficial en la categoría Supersport 600 del CIV, un nuevo reto técnico y deportivo que afrontará a los mandos de la Kawasaki preparada por MRT. La incorporación de Garcia al equipo es fruto de la colaboración con Prodina, una estructura de referencia en el paddock mundial, con la que el piloto ha compartido la temporada recientemente concluida. A su lado, en la misma categoría, estará Mattia Paolucci, confirmado por MRT tras el excelente trabajo realizado juntos en 2025. Para Mattia, este representa un importante salto de calidad: después de destacar en las categorías de acceso, está listo para medirse con los mejores de la SSP600 nacional, confirmando así la confianza del equipo y el proceso de crecimiento desarrollado en conjunto. La alineación 2026 se completa con dos jóvenes pilotos en la Coppa Italia: Cristian Basso, que continuará su trayectoria con MRT en la Dunlop Cup 600 tras una primera temporada en constante progresión y una colaboración construida sobre bases sólidas, y Christian Antonini, que competirá en el campeonato Trofeo Amatori 600 Rookie, siempre con el apoyo técnico y formativo del equipo, dentro de un proyecto pensado para hacer madurar nuevos talentos. Será un año especial para nosotros: celebramos el décimo aniversario del equipo y lo hacemos con una gran novedad, la incorporación de una segunda moto en el CIV Supersport 600. Hasta hace poco parecía un objetivo lejano, casi inalcanzable, pero este año decidimos redoblar esfuerzos y apostar por dos proyectos de crecimiento importantes. Hemos elegido a dos chicos jóvenes — juntos apenas superan los 40 años — para un proyecto fresco, ambicioso y con muchas ganas de hacerlo bien. El objetivo es claro: crecer, divertirnos y conseguir buenos resultados. En la Coppa Italia tampoco nos quedaremos atrás: allí también duplicamos las motos en el paddock y continuaremos el proyecto con Cristian y Cristian. Queremos hacerlo bien también en esa categoría, trabajando siempre con seriedad y pasión. Todo esto es posible gracias a la colaboración con Kawasaki, que seguirá apoyándonos tanto en el CIV como en la Coppa Italia. Es una relación fuerte, construida con el tiempo, y esperamos consolidarla aún más con algún buen podio para sumar a la vitrina. ¡Nos vemos en la pista!”

2026 will be a year of major expansion for MRT Corse, which confirms its continued growth by fielding no fewer than four riders across the Dunlop CIV and Coppa Italia, with the ambitious goal of establishing itself among the leading teams on the national scene. The biggest news is the arrival of Julio Garcia, a young Spanish rider with significant international experience, coming off several seasons in the Supersport 300 World Championship. For him, 2026 will mark his official debut in the CIV Supersport 600 class, a new technical and sporting challenge he will take on aboard the Kawasaki prepared by MRT. Garcia’s entry into the team is the result of a collaboration with Prodina, a benchmark structure in the world paddock, with whom the rider shared the recently concluded season. Joining him in the same category will be Mattia Paolucci, who has been reconfirmed by MRT after the excellent progress made together in 2025. For Mattia, this represents an important step forward: after performing well in the feeder categories, he is now ready to take on the best riders in the national SSP600 class, confirming both the team’s trust and the growth path developed together. The 2026 line-up is completed by two young riders in the Coppa Italia: Cristian Basso, who will continue his journey with MRT in the Dunlop Cup 600 after a steadily improving first season and a collaboration built on strong foundations, and Christian Antonini, who will compete in the Trofeo Amatori 600 Rookie championship, once again with the team’s full technical and developmental support, as part of a project designed to nurture new talent. The team will stand alongside all four riders throughout the entire season, pursuing a synergistic approach that combines track work, technical development, and rider training. It will be a special year for us: we are celebrating the team’s tenth anniversary, and we’re doing so with a major new step, namely the addition of a second bike in the CIV Supersport 600. Until recently, this seemed like a distant, almost unattainable goal, but this year we decided to double our efforts and invest in two important growth projects. We chose two young riders — together they barely add up to 40 years old — for a fresh, ambitious project with a real desire to succeed. The goal is clear: grow, have fun, and bring home strong results. We won’t be holding back in the Coppa Italia either: there too we’re doubling the bikes in the paddock and continuing the project with Cristian and Cristian. We want to perform well in that category as well, always working with seriousness and passion. All of this is possible thanks to our collaboration with Kawasaki, which will continue to support us both in the CIV and in the Coppa Italia. It’s a strong relationship built over time, and we hope to strengthen it further with a few podium finishes to add to the trophy cabinet. See you on track!”
